The Kettering road, Northampton has always been a busy shopping road. It has a variety of shops – retail, food and grocers, takeaways, used goods shops, florists, cafes, and more.
It begins at its southern end at the junction with the Wellingborough road, and then travels north to the Racecourse park.
The shopping area then extends past the Racecourse park into Kingsley Park Terrace where there is another long section of shops. The smaller roads that come off of it also have a good few independent businesses on them.
There’s plenty of free on road parking and in addition there is the free car park on the Racecourse which is opposite The Picturedrome cafe / bar and right by Pavillion which is the home of The Umbrella Fair.
